Reading at Easons, Lisburn

On 7th November I read both Pony Palace Camp and Pony Surprise to Primary 3 and 4 classes from Tonagh Primary School. The pupils had lots and lots of interesting questions and of course they fell in love with the ponies from the Pony Palace. Bronco Barney and Pretty Parsley were firm favourites, but so too were Speedy Skippy and Beautiful Biscuit. Of course I didn’t spoil Rupert’s surprise in Book 2 – they’ll just have to read to the end of Pony Surprise to find out.

Easons in Lisburn is a fun and fabulous shop with a huge children’s section where you can browse the day away. The staff were wonderful and Trevor, the manager, actually stayed and listened in to all three story sessions. The children each received free good bags and badges of their favourite ponies at the end. Cool Kaz was a popular choice with some of the ‘cool dude boys,’ but as always, the Barney badges disappeared before you could say ‘Bronco Barney, the boldest pony in the Pony Palace!
