I had a fabulously busy World Book Day visiting Millennium I.P.S. in the morning – where I am Patron of Reading – and St Patrick’s, South Armagh in the afternoon. I dressed as Carrie from Carrie’s War – one of my favourite books as a child.
The students and I had lots of fun creating and designing brand new characters for children’s fiction. Some of the ideas were so good I asked if I could steal them (joking, ofcourse!) We followed the Who/What/Where/When/Why of character creation and had a wonderfully industrious morning and afternoon.
